KROĆENJE GOROPADNICE

Predstava „Kroćenje goropadnice” autorski je projekt baziran na kombiniranju različitih diskursa, stilova i izvora u želji da uđemo u dijalog s dramskim kanonom i svojom pozicijom u odnosu na njega danas.

Zašto uopće danas raditi ovu komediju? Po čemu je ovaj komad satiričan? Čemu se tadašnje društvo smijalo, a čemu mi danas? Što se sve krije iza naslova, ali i u samoj komediji? Ovo su samo neka od pitanja koja su nam bila polazišna točka za propitkivanje čuvene, ali i  kontroverzne Shakespearove komedije “Kroćenje goropadnice” o kojoj je napisano mnoštvo različitih teorijskih tumačenja i kritičkih čitanja, često radikalno suprotstavljenih stajališta odnosno potrebe da Shakespearea i ovu komediju isključivo branimo ili napadamo.

Ono u čemu se većina slaže jest da je nemoguće preispitivati Shakesperovu autorsku poziciju, a da se ne bavimo pozicijom tadašnje publike i njezinih potreba, kao i društvenog konteksta unutar kojeg je Shakespeare djelovao. Kao jedna od inspiracija za “Kroćenje goropadnice”, Shakespearu su poslužile tada popularne folkorne predaje koje su prenosile s koljena na koljeno priču o neposlušnoj, neukrotivnoj ženi i njezinom jeziku. Ova vrsta narodnih predaja postojala je u čitavom svijetu u vidu raznih varijacija narativa, te nam u pozadini komedije otkrivaju dugu povijest ušutkivanja žene i kroćenja njezinog jezika na razne načine. Prostor ženskog postaje prostor horora odnosno mučenja, kažnjavanja, ali i upozorenja za ostale članove društva (neovisno o rodu i spolu) na ono što ih čeka ukoliko ne poštuju patrijarhalno uređenje društva.

U toku procesa pokušali smo istražiti sve navedene slojeve, analizirati svaki segment ovog komada na način da komentiramo, interveniramo, konfrontiramo se, tragamo za prostorima praznina, kontradiktornosti, te kreiramo neke nove za intertekstualnost, metateatarske postupke i citatnost. Ono što nas je vodilo na tom putu jest da uvijek razmišljamo o tome šta se krije u pozadini ponekad naizgled nebitnih detalja, šta je iza onoga čemu se smijemo, koji komički obrasci su se ustalili i zašto, a koji su danas popularni, što oni govore o društvenim obrascima koje smo normalizirali i gdje se u svemu tome krije naša odgovornost?
